6:55pmDepart Seattle for Los Angeles (LAX) on United #969.  Be sure to check luggage all the way to Beijing – you will not need to pick up checked luggage in LAX.
9:22pmArrive into LAX’s United Terminal (Terminal 7/8) and transfer to Terminal 2.

Day Two: Monday, 21 June, 2004
1:40amDepart LAX for Beijing, China on Air China #984.  Cross the International Dateline in flight.

Day Three: Tuesday, 22 June, 2004 Beijng (B,D)
5:20amArrive into Beijing, pass thru customs and immigration, meet your Chinese Tour Managers then transfer to the Taiwan Hotel.
~7:30amArrive at Taiwan Hotel.
8:00am-9:00amGroup Breakfast at Taiwan Hotel.  Rooms are not likely to be ready this early, however, we will check group into any rooms that are ready.  Majority of group will check in after tour of Tiananmen Square.
9:15amTransfer to Tiananmen Square.
9:30am-10:30pmTour of Tiananmen Square.
10:45amTransfer to the Taiwan Hotel.
~11:00amArrive at hotel and check-in.  Free time to rest and rejuvinate from your long journey.  Lunch on own.

Day Four: Wednesday, 23 June, 2004 Beijing (B,L,D) – CONCERT #1

Day Five: Thursday, 24 June, 2004 Beijing (B,L,D) – CONCERT #2

4:15pmArrive at Beijing University of Technology
4:30pm-5:00pmGroup soundcheck at Beijing University of Technology followed by time to greet hosts.
5:30pm-6:30pmGroup dinner at Beijing University of Technology.
7:00pm-8:30pmJoint Concert with Beijing University of Technology (WC will have 45 minutes).  Afterwards, time to greet hosts then return to hotel.

Day Six: Friday, 25 June, 2004 Beijing (B,D)

9:00amDepart for the “Great Wall of China”, one of the wonders of the world.
~10:30amArrive at the Badaling section of the Great Wall.  Free time to climb the wall (or just watch the people trying to climb the wall).
12:15pmDepart for lunch.
12:30pm-1:30pmLunch as a group.  Depart for Ming Tombs
2:30pmArrive at the Ming Tombs – enjoy a guided tour through the tombs.
4:30pmReturn to Beijing via the Jade Factory.
~8:00pmArrive at restaurant in Beijing.
8:00pm-9:30pmGroup Peking Duck Banquet (or a vegetarian alternate can also be enjoyed by request) then return to hotel.

Day Seven: Saturday, 26 June, 2004 Beijing (B,D)
8:00am-9:30amBreakfast at hotel.
The morning is free to explore Beijing on own.  There will be an optional trip to the Temple of Heaven (US $6 per person) or an optional trip to the Summer Palace (US $8 per person) organized for those wishing to see one of these beautiful and historic sites.  Tours will depart at 9:00am and return to the hotel by 1:00pm
AfternoonLunch on your own.  Free time for shopping and sightseeing at Beijing’s famous “Wangfujing St.” Shopping District which is steps away from the hotel.
EveningDinner and free time on own to enjoy Beijing.

Day Eight: Sunday, 27 June, 2004 Hangzhou (B,L,D)
MorningBreakfast will be provided.
5:15amTransfer to airport.  Check-in for flight to Shanghai.
7:40amDepart Beijing for Shanghai’s Pudong Internatinal Airport on Air China #155.
9:35amArrive into Shanghai’ Pudong International Airport.  Collect baggage and board coaches.
~10:45amDepart Shanghai for the Garden City of Hangzhou  (2.5 hours).  Lunch will be provided en route.
~2:00pmArrive in Hangzhou and check into the Zhejiang International Hotel.  Free time to relax.
5:30pm-6:30pm Dinner as a group.
7:00pm-9:00pmEnjoy the Hangzhou Night Market then return to hotel.

11:30a-12:30pmLunch as a group in Shanghai.  Afterwards, enjoy Shanghai Sightseeing including the Shanghai TV Tower and the New City (Pudong).
4:00pmArrive at Jin Sha Hotel and check-in.  The rest of the evening is free to enjoy Shanghai on

7:30pm-9:00pmJoint Concert with Shanghai Philharmonic Chorale (WC will have 45 minutes) at the Music Institute Concert Hall..  Afterwards, enjoy time to socialize with your hosts then return to hotel.

Day Twelve: Thursday, 1 July, 2004  Shanghai (B,D)
8:30am-9:30amBreakfast at hotel.  The rest of the morning and afternoon are free to enjoy Shanghai on own.
6:00pmTransfer to dock on Huang Pu River (an arm of the Yangtze River that flows through Shanghai).
6:30pm-8:00pmEnjoy a Night Cruise along the Huang Pu.  Transfer to restaurant.
8:30pm-10:30pmEnjoy Farewell Dinner Banquet then return to hotel.

Day Thirteen: Friday, 2 July, 2004 China to Seattle (B, Meals on Plane)
8:30am-9:30amBreakfast at hotel.  Morning is free for last-minute sightseeing and shopping on own.
12:30pmBoard coaches and transfer to Shanghai’s Pudong International airport.
~1:30pm  Arrive at airport and check-in for flight to San Francisco. 
4:05pmDepart Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport for San Francisco on Air China #985.
12:15pmAfter crossing the International Dateline en route, arrive into San Francisco the SAME DAY!  After immigration formalities, collect baggage and pass through customs.  Just past customs, place your baggage onto the “Continuing Flights” carousel then transfer to the United Domestic Terminal (Terminal 7/8).  Check-in for flight to Seattle.

9:30amSay goodbye to those returning home and then board coach for a great day trip to the “Pearl City” of Suzhou (apprx. 1.5 hours travel time). 
During the day we will visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Grand Canal, and the Embroidery Research Institute.  Also, the variety and prices of pearl jewelry here are fantastic.  Lunch on your own in Suzhou.
5:30pmReturn to Shanghai.
7:00pm-8:00pmDinner as a group in Shanghai then return to hotel.

Saturday, 3 July 2004 (B,L,D)

10:00amCheck-out of the hotel, load coach and transfer to Shanghai City Airport (SHA).
